Rebecca De Mendonca Zoom Demo

In March we were treated to a zoom demo by an pastel artist who is inspired by horses, people and the dramatic landscapes. Rebecca de Mendonca has been accepted as a Full Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and won 2 awards in their 2024 exhibition. She also won the Yashimnoto Prize at the 2024 exhibition of the Pastel Society.

The feature of Rebecca’s zoom were very dramatic seascapes. She was very generous with her advice including tips about creating rock images, on using black paper and also the use of colourfix primer to prepare the surface. The zoom was very well attended by members who all thoroughly enjoyed the demo. Several were inspired to create their own artwork in Rebecca’s style and using her tips and advice.
